Indictment: Elkton man caused severe brain injuries to infant

A Todd County grand jury recently returned an indictment against an Elkton man accused of causing severe head injuries to an infant.

It alleges that on December 4 of last year, 18-year old Cristion Lucio of Elkton struck an infant girl with his hands, causing injuries to her brain that put her “at a grave risk of death.”

Lucio is charged with first-degree assault and first-degree criminal child abuse.

Meanwhile, the grand jury indicted 47-year old William Anderson of Elkton for first-degree sexual abuse, alleging he made sexual contact with a child under the age of 12 on at least two occasions between 2010 and 2014.

He’s also indicted for first-degree sodomy for alleged sex acts against a minor under the age of 12 during the same time period.
