FEMA extends application deadline for December tornado victims

FEMA has extended the deadline for victims of the December 10 and 11 tornadoes in western Kentucky to apply for assistance.

Governor Andy Beshear says while the deadline had been Friday, it’s now March 13.

You can apply for assistance at disasterassitance.gov, on the FEMA app or call 800-621-3362.

Governor Beshear says they continue the process of turning over mobile travel trailers to displaced tornado victims.

Sixty Kentuckians are already living in the travel trailers in what is being called “intermediate housing.”

You must apply with FEMA to receive help through the state’s Team Western Kentucky  Tornado Relief Fund, which has already sent out $3.1 million in assistance.
