There’s optimism the 2022 regular season will start on time. That’s according to Commissioner Rob Manfred, who addressed the ongoing labor dispute between the league and the players association. Manfred says the proposal the league has made is extremely better than the previous agreement that has expired. Manfred said they hoped a mediator would help, but it was denied by the union. Both sides will meet on Saturday and Manfred said the league has another proposal to present while he hopes this will keep the start of the season on time.
