Local woman injured in Boulevard accident

Alcohol is listed as a factor in a two-vehicle accident Wednesday afternoon on Fort Campbell Boulevard that sent a local woman to the hospital.

The collision report from Hopkinsville police says 37-year old Montrel Kelly of Hopkinsville was northbound and attempting to turn onto Walnut Street when he failed to maintain his lane and collided with a southbound automobile operated by 35-year old Monica Kendrick of Hopkinsville.

Kendrick was taken by EMS to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Kelly left the scene in another vehicle and was found at home, with a report saying he was unsteady on his feet and smelled of alcohol. He was arrested for DUI and leaving the scene of an accident.
