An investigation on North O’Neal Avenue in Hopkinsville Wednesday led to the arrest of a man on strangulation charge.
An arrest citation for 22-year old Devonnya Peterson of Hopkinsville says he and a female victim were in a dispute at a home in the 100 block of North O’Neal about 12:45 p.m., when Peterson allegedly strangled the woman until she passed out.
The victim said he also punched her in the ribs multiple times and she had an open cut on the side of her mouth.
Peterson was arrested and charged with first-degree strangulation.
