On the PGA Tour: Billy Horschel leads the Farmers Insurance Open after shooting a nine under par 63 in the opening round Wednesday. Michael Thompson is one stroke behind Horschel at eight-under par. Stephan Jaeger and Kevin Tway are tied for third at seven-under par. Jon Rahm and Rickie Fowler are in a four-way tie for fifth place at six-under par. Louisville area native Justin Thomas is tied for 31st at four under while Nashville’s Brandt Snedeker is tied for 53rd at two under par.
