An investigation on Boales Street early Thursday morning led to the arrest of a man on strangulation and assault charges.
An arrest citation for 28-year old Jatraevionn Thornton of Hopkinsville says he and his 30-year old girlfriend had been in an argument that became physical, with Thornton allegedly grabbing the victim by the throat and choking her until she passed out.
Thornton left after the woman passed out and he was located at a home on Colonette Drive, where he was arrested and charged with first-degree strangulation and fourth-degree assault (domestic violence).
