An investigation at East Ninth and South Virginia Street Friday afternoon led to the arrest of a man for methamphetamine trafficking charges.
An arrest citation for 39-year old Jonathan Bivins of Hopkinsville says his vehicle was stopped in traffic and he was found asleep behind the wheel about 6:30 p.m.
A search of his person allegedly revealed two containers of meth in his clothes.
Bivins, who said he was on parole after being recently released from prison, was arrested and charged with trafficking in meth, public intoxication and failure to wear a seatbelt.
