Kentucky State Police have determined a cause of death for a Trigg County infant and the mother is facing additional charges.
As previously reported, 28-year old Shaylynn Curtis was arrested in October for abuse of a corpse after she allegedly wrapped her deceased five-month old son in a blanket and placed him in the attic of her E. Adams Mill Road home, while having never sought medical care for him.
A state medical examiner determined the infant’s death was due to acute methamphetamine intoxication.
The case was presented to a grand jury, which indicted Curtis for murder, and she was served with the indictment warrant Friday at the Christian County Jail.
