Kentucky adds 4,297 COVID cases, 23 deaths

Kentucky saw another spike in its COVID-19 positivity rate, as it gained a reported 4,297 cases Tuesday.

According to the update, the positivity rate jumped again, now at 12.61 percent, up nearly a full percentage point from the day prior. There were also 23 newly reported deaths, bringing the death toll up to 12,097—there are 1,330 individuals in the hospital with COVID-19, 342 in the ICU and 203 on a ventilator.

On the COVID-19 state incidence rate map, things remained the same—Christian County is labelled as ‘orange’, while Todd, Trigg and surrounding counties are listed as ‘red’.
