The Christian County Health Department is warning that due to an increase in the volume of COVID-19 cases locally, they’re having to change how they contact those who are positive for the virus.
According to the department, CCHD is not always able to contact each positive individual to conduct a case interview, contact trace, or provide quarantine letters, so they will be focusing their efforts on the most vulnerable by prioritizing contacting children under the age of 18 and adults age 65 and older. Once those individuals are informed, staff will work through the list of contacting other positive individuals.
Officials ask that people be patient with health department staff, answer questions as needed, and please follow necessary isolation and quarantine protocol. They also urge people to not wait for guidance before quarantining and isolating as necessary.
