Positivity rate at 9.61 percent, Ky. adds 2,913 COVID cases

The positivity rate continues to climb in Kentucky, now at 9.61 percent, as the Christmas holiday arrives this weekend.

Kentucky also gained 2,913 new COVID cases from Tuesday to Wednesday, along with 36 new deaths—that brings the death toll to 11,918 since the pandemic began. There are currently 1,210 people in the hospital with COVID-19, 327 in the ICU and 185 on a ventilator.

On the state incidence rate map, Christian County remains ‘orange’, while Todd, Trigg and surrounding counties have stayed ‘red’.
