Princeton PD: Four Michigan residents stole from tornado damaged area

The Princeton Police Department arrested four people from Michigan Thursday morning for reportedly looting from tornado damaged homes and vehicles.

According to a news release, officers responded to Meadowbrook Drive for reports of suspicious activity from the Kentucky Attorney General’s Office—investigation determined that four male suspects had allegedly been stealing property from damaged residences and vehicles. The stolen items were recovered from the suspects’ vehicle.

Thirty-year-old Mitchell Stanton and Jesse Stanton, both of Coldwater, Michigan, along with 25-year-old Sevon Gowen of Sturgis and 27-year-old Brandon Ransbottom of Michigan were arrested.  They’re facing charges of receiving stolen property and possession of burglary tools, along with additional charges of possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, possession of methamphetamine and promoting contraband.
