Pennyrile Electric has restored power to all known outages after tornados last weekend wreaked havoc on the cooperative’s infrastructure.
Nearly 20,000 members were in the dark at one time and it took less than a week to restore electricity to every home that was ready to receive it again.
Brent Gilkey with Pennyrile says linemen and contracted crews had to replace over 400 poles.
He says if your home still doesn’t have service, call Pennryile and report it.
Most importantly, all of the work was completed without anyone being injured.
