Christian County fell behind to Bowling Green 16-6 at the end of the first quarter, but almost pulled out an upset as the Colonels fell to the Purples 61-59. KJ Vaughn led the Colonels with 14 points, Jordan Miles added 13 and Derrell Bateman added 12 as Christian County fell to 1-3. Turner Buttry led Bowling Green with 22 points as they improved to 5-0. Christian County opens district play Friday night at University Heights.
Hopkinsville lost at Webster County 72-58. Daisjuan Mercer led the Tigers with 16 points with Bubba Leavell adding 15 and KC Cabiness pitched in 12 as the Tigers fall to 1-2. Hopkinsville is back in action Friday night at Union County.
