There are still 2,500 Pennryile Electric members without power Monday morning, but progress is being made.
Brent Gilkey with the cooperative says linemen gained a lot of ground Sunday in replacing infrastructure that was destroyed by Saturday morning’s tornado.
He says contracted crews are assisting local workers.
Gilkey thanked a community that’s found ways to support the linemen who’ve been out in all times of the day and night since the storms hit.
