A vehicle pursuit on US 68 Monday in Todd County ended with the arrest of an Elkton man on multiple charges.
Elkton police and the Todd County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a vehicle headed the wrong way on US 68 and Elkton Officer Jakop Smith made contact with 58-year old Larry Spurlin of Elkton about two miles from the Todd-Christian County line.
Spurlin allegedly turned around in the median and drove toward Officer Smith, who was able to avoid a head-on collision.
A vehicle pursuit began, with Spurlin eventually stopping at US 68 and Tress Shop Road.
He was arrested and charged with DUI, fleeing or evading police, reckless driving, and two counts of felony wanton endangerment against a police officer.
