Former Christian County Sheriff’s Sgt. Adam Vanderkolk has filed to run as a Republican for Christian County Sheriff in 2022.
Vanderkolk spent nine and a half years at the sheriff’s office and the prior 10 years with the Oak Grove Police Department.
He says he’s had aspirations to run for sheriff for some time.
Vanderkolk says he’d institute some administrative changes at the department, if elected.
He says his goal is for Christian County to have the best sheriff’s department in the state.
Vanderkolk will face incumbent Sheriff Tyler DeArmond in a Republican primary.
