Riley leaves OU for USC, Florida names Napier as head coach

Oklahoma head coach Lincoln Riley is bolting for the West Coast. Riley will take over at USC, saying leaving OU was one of the most difficult decisions of his life. He replaces Clay Helton, who was fired in September. Riley heads to USC after guiding the Sooners to four straight Big 12 titles and three CFP playoff appearances in his first four seasons in Norman. Former Sooners coach Bob Stoops will coach the Sooners in their upcoming bowl game.

The University of Florida announced the hiring of Louisiana Ragin Cajuns head coach Billy Napier Sunday. Napier replaces Dan Mullen, who was recently fired. The 42-year-old Napier said he would coach the Ragin Cajuns in the upcoming Sun Belt Conference championship game against Appalachian State on Saturday.
