The NCAA is expanding the field of teams that will participate in the women’s college basketball tournament. Starting this season, an additional four teams will be invited to play in the tournament, bringing the total number of schools to 68. The day of the women’s selection show has also been changed to accommodate for the extra games. The show will now be held on Sunday March 13th instead of the traditional Monday broadcast. The last four at-large teams and teams seeded 65 through 68 will compete in the opening-round games prior to the start of the first and second rounds.
