The Rotary Club of Hopkinsville got a visit from Marketing and Events Coordinator Taylor Duke at Tuesday’s meeting, who gave them an update on the Sportsplex and what all is happening there.
Duke says things are quickly getting busy at the Sportsplex again, after it was hit hard by pandemic closures and restrictions. They are often filled with locals participating in various sports and leagues, from soccer and basketball to tennis and golf, but she says it’s not always just sports—they’ve also been hosting to several community events as well.
The next Movies in the Park, which is beginning to wind down, will take place at the Sportsplex on Friday, and Duke says they’ll now be showing the new Space Jam movie.
They routinely have ‘open gym’ availability for locals to use, and you can purchase a season pass that gains you access to that availability all year round.
The 54,000 square foot facility is home to numerous amenities, including a turf field, batting cages, three full sized basketball courts, tennis courts and office space to hold events and meetings. For more information about the Sportsplex, contact Duke at (270) 985-1700
