Princeton’s Emma Talley had her second straight round of 70 Friday and is even par heading into Saturday’s third round of the LPGA Tour’s Pelican Women’s Championship. Lexi Thompson and Jennifer Kupcho share the lead at 11 under par.
For the second straight day, play was suspended at the PGA Tour’s Houston Open Friday due to darkness. Martin Trainer at 10 under is the clubhouse leader with Kevin Tway one shot back at nine under. Second round play will conclude early Saturday morning with hopes of completing the third round also.
Kirk Triplett at 13 under has a two shot lead on Stephen Alker heading into Saturday’s third round of the PGA Tour Champions Charles Schwab Cup event in Phoenix. Jim Furyk and Phil Mickelson are three shots back at 10 under. Franklin’s Kenny Perry is tied for 21st at four under par.
