Ky. gains 1,296 COVID cases, 70 deaths

Kentucky gained 1,296 new cases of COVID-19 Friday, along with 70 new deaths.

Those 70 deaths puts the overall death toll since the pandemic began at 10,214—the positivity rate stayed fairly steady at 5.53 percent, up at little from the previous report.  There are currently 703 people in the hospital with COVID-19, 193 in the ICU and 102 on a ventilator.

On the COVID-19 state incidence rate map, Christian and Todd counties remain ‘orange’, while Trigg county continues to be listed as ‘red’.
