Trigg Judge-Executive Hollis Alexander won’t seek re-election

Trigg County Judge-Executive Hollis Alexander has announced he’ll retire at the end of next year and not seek re-election.

Judge Alexander says after three and a half decades of public service, he just knew it was the right time to step away and spend more time with his family.

He says it’s been a blessing to serve his home county in various ways over the years and he’s thankful to the people of Trigg County who’ve made it all possible.

Judge Alexander is proud of upgrades to county equipment and facilities during his tenure and of a positive relationship with fiscal court that allowed them to shore up Trigg County Hospital during uncertain times.

Alexander was the chief of the Cadiz Police Department before becoming judge-executive in 2013 when former judge Stan Humphries was elected to the state Senate.
