Mansfield seeking re-election as Todd Co. judge-executive

Todd County Judge-Executive Todd Mansfield has announced he’ll seek a second full term in that office during next year’s elections.

Mansfield says the decision came after prayer and discussions with his family.

Todd County joined Christian and Trigg in a partnership with Hopkinsville Electric System to expand broadband fiber internet coverage to rural areas over the next several years and Judge Mansfield wants to see that project come to fruition.

He says he’s also hopeful the county will be able to afford to pave more gravel roads in the coming years.

A top priority is keeping the county in good financial shape.

Judge Mansfield thanked fiscal court for working with him during his first term and longtime Treasurer Tammy Robertson, who is retiring at the end of the year, for her guidance on financial matters and other topics.

Mansfield, a Democrat, is currently unopposed and expects to formally file his paperwork on Friday.
