His three-run blast in the ninth broke the game open for Atlanta, who used six pitchers and limited Los Angeles to only four hits. Game Five is tonight in Los Angeles.
Houston Astros pitcher Framber Valdez became the first hurler in the 2021 post season to go eight innings as the Houston Astros pounded the Boston Red Sox 9-1 in Game Five of the American League Championship Series at Fenway Park. Yordan Alvarez added three hits and three RBI for the Astros, who have a 3-2 lead heading into Game Six Friday night in Houston.
