Two people were injured in a violent four-vehicle accident Wednesday afternoon on I-24 in Montgomery County.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol investigated and determined a tractor-trailer operated by 35-year old Gary Graham of Nebraska was westbound near the 3 mile-marker when traffic slowed abruptly.
Behind him a pickup driven by 36-year old Matthew Young of Murfreesboro rear-ended a van operated by 52-year old Laura-Lynne Patry-O’leary of Clarksville and her van pushed a pickup driven by 29-year old Blayne Phipps of Fort Campbell into the rear of Graham’s trailer.
Phipps and Patry-O’leary were both injured and Clarskville police reported one of them was flown to a Nashville hospital in stable condition.
The crash closed the westbound lanes for a significant period of time.
