Following their loss to Georgia on Saturday, Kentucky fell to 15th in the Associated Press Top 25 poll and 14th in the USA Today Coaches Poll. Georgia remained number one in both polls.

Two Murray State players received Ohio Valley Conference weekly honors Sunday for their play in the Racers last second win over Southeast Missouri Saturday.
DJ Williams was named the Co-Offensive and the Newcomer of the Week. Williams made his first career start at quarterback. The redshirt freshman was 15-for-29 passing for 240 yards with a touchdown and no interceptions, in addition to 81 yards on 13 carries with two rushing touchdowns.

Malik Honeycutt was named the Specialist of the Week. Honeycutt had a 52 yard punt return for a touchdown and returned a punt 18 yards to help set up the final drive which gave the Racers the win. Murray State welcomes Austin Peay for a 2 pm kickoff Saturday afternoon in Murray.

University of Tennessee athletic director Danny White issued an apology to the Ole Miss football team Sunday after fans threw objects on the field late in Saturday night’s loss to the Rebels. The game was delayed for 20 minutes with 54 seconds remaining after a close call went against the Vols. The fans then threw all types of objects on the field including golf balls.

LSU athletic officials announced last night the school and coach Ed Orgeron will part ways following the season. Athletic director Scott Woodward said in a news release the search for a new coach begins now, but Orgeron will stay on until the season’s end.
