Approximately 1,200 to 1,500 people showed up at Debow Park Saturday morning for Hopkinsville’s fifth annual Touch a Truck event.
Youngsters could get up close with a Hopkinsville fire truck, Fort Campbell military vehicle, Air Evac helicopter and much more and Toby Hudson with Parks and Recreation says it went very well with nearly perfect weather.
He says Touch a Truck came about several years ago when parks and rec officials were looking for something new to offer.
Second Baptist Church handed out free hot dogs and ECC gave out free snow cones.
