One person was arrested and another remains at large following a vehicle pursuit Tuesday night in Christian County.
The Christian County Sheriff’s Office attempted to stop a vehicle on Fort Campbell Boulevard and the driver fled, traveling at a high rate of speed.
The pursuit eventually ended with a crash on Crest Drive and the driver and a passenger—23-year old Dequtendrick Whiters of Clarksville—fled on foot and was eventually arrested.
Police say Whiters tossed a backpack during the pursuit and a search of it allegedly revealed a stolen handgun, synthetic drugs and marijuana.
Whiters is charged with fleeing or evading police, receiving a stolen handgun, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, trafficking in synthetic drugs, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The driver also fled the crash on foot and remains at-large.
