The Oak Grove Community Center is now offering free COVID-19 testing to the community.
According to a post by Oak Grove Mayor Theresa Jarvis, testing is available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. at the facility located at 1705 Thomsponville Lane, and citizens are welcome to get tested once a week if they wish. Participants are asked to being a valid photo ID and their insurance information, if available.
The test offered at the center is a type of PCR test that swabs the inside of a patient’s cheek—results are typically returned in 24 to 48 hours. The free testing is set to continue until further notice.
