Downtown Cadiz will welcome in large crowds this weekend, as the annual Trigg County Ham Festival officially gets underway Friday and runs through Sunday.
Cadiz Mayor Todd King says they’re excited to bring the festival back this year after having to cancel last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and he says that will most activities will start Friday, there will be carnival rides available for fun on Thursday.
He says they’re asking people to come out and enjoy themselves while staying safe, with hand sanitizing stations scattered throughout the festival and people welcome to wear masks if they want to.
Mayor King says schedules of events taking place during the festival are available, along with maps, either at the information booth at City Hall or online through the Ham Festival Facebook page.
There will be approximately 200 vendors on site, live music, shows and other events throughout the weekend, with carnival rides and few vendors sticking around into Sunday morning. For more information, call the Tourism Commission at 270-522-3892.
