Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame catcher Johnny Bench announced Friday he has tested positive for COVID. In a statement, the 73-year-old Bench said he wouldn’t be able to attend the Baseball Hall of Fame induction ceremonies next Wednesday. He added that his doctor stated had be not been vaccinated, he would have been hospitalized.
