Logan County scored 35 unanswered points in the 2nd quarter and went on to rout Christian County 49-6 at the Jerry Claiborne Bowl Friday night. Christian County took an early 6-0 lead on a Jordan Miles to KJ Vaughn touchdown pass with 5:34 to play in the first quarter. Logan County would match the score early in the second period on the first of two touchdowns of the night by Ryan Rayno and lead 7-6 and never look back.
The Colonels had 186 yards of offense and committed four turnovers. Xavier Quarles had 18 carries for 60 yards while KJ Vaughn had three receptions for 20 yards and a score and Prince Northington also caught three passes for 17 yards. Christian County is now 1-1 on the season and will play at Henderson County next Friday while Logan County is now 2-0 and faces Russellville next Friday.
