HHS Key Club members pen messages of support for staff at Jennie Stuart

The healthcare workers at Jennie Stuart Medical Center got a surprise as they walked into work Thursday afternoon—messages of support and compassion from local students.

Students with the Hopkinsville High School Key Club—which is associated with the local Kiwanis Club—drew pictures and wrote messages cheering on the workers as super heroes who show bravery every day they choose to help those in the community during such an arduous time.  Club Organizer Kim Batts says they also donated food items to help give them the energy they need and this was the club’s way of showing what they mean to the community.

She says the students wanted those in healthcare to know they are appreciated and admired for their continued dedication to their patients.

Beth McCraw with Jennie Stuart Health thanked the students for their donations of both the gifts and their art, saying it will help their staff face what the day could bring taking care of those who are truly sick and need care.
