Man arrested for burglary, marijuana trafficking

An investigation Monday morning at a home on Rose Drive ended with the arrest of a young man on burglary and drug charges.

Hopkinsville police were called to a burglary in progress about 8:45 a.m. and were told by the property manager for the home at 923 Rose Drive that nobody should be inside.

The police report says several people fled when officers arrived, despite orders to stop, and Chief Clayton Sumner caught 18-year-old Ladarius Radford of Hopkinsville.

Police say Radford was in possession of a significant amount of marijuana and several of the other people there were juveniles who should have been in school. At least one of the juveniles was in possession of a small amount of marijuana.

Radford is charged with second-degree burglary, unlawful transaction with a minor, trafficking in marijuana and fleeing or evading police.
