College Football

The Action Network reports Nebraska’s football program and Coach Scott Frost are under NCAA investigation for improper use of analysts and consultants during practices and games. Sources say the school has “significant video footage” confirming the practice violations took place in the presence of Frost and other assistants. University of Nebraska athletics director Trev Alberts said in a statement the school was working collaboratively with the NCAA and could not comment further on the matter.

NFL

The Washington Football Team is reportedly closer to determining a new nickname for the 2022 season. According to CBS Sports.com, a list of eight names is down to three.
Although the three names have not been made public, the names include: Armada, Brigade, Commanders, Defenders, Presidents, Red Hogs, Red Wolves or they could remain as the Washington Football Team. The new name is expected to be unveiled after the 2022 Super Bowl.

Golf

The wife of one of golf’s legends has died. Gary Player issued a statement today saying his wife of 64 years-Vivenne-lost her long battle with pancreatic cancer. He added he cannot describe the deep sense of sadness he feels in losing the one person who has meant the world to him since a young age.
