The Hopkinsville Division of Parks and Recreation will now close the vehicle gate at the Walnut Street Park at 6 p.m. on weeknights and will remain closed during the weekends, effective immediately.
The pedestrian gate will not be affected by this closure and will remain open and this closure comes from local concerns and complaints regarding unsafe vehicle traffic in the area.
