Kentucky gains 2,612 COVID cases, six new deaths

Kentucky gained another 2,612 cases of COVID-19 Friday, and the positivity rate increased once again.

The positivity rate is now at 10.47 percent, and the governor also reported six new deaths, putting the death toll in the state at 7,372.  There are currently 976 COVID-19 positive patients in the hospital, 286 in the ICU and 121 on a ventilator.

On the state incidence rate map, Christian, Todd, Hopkins, Muhlenberg, Caldwell and Logan counties are still listed as ‘red’, while Trigg county remains ‘yellow’.
