Cynclaire Ruby Rogers Charity Softball Tournament raises $1,000 in name of suicide prevention

The third annual Cynclaire Ruby Rogers Annual Charity Softball Tournament wrapped up last weekend, and a donation will be made to a local agency to support suicide prevention.

According to organizer David Chase, the Foundation will be donating $1,000 that was raised during the event to the Hopkinsville chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Multiple teams participated, with the Section Link team claiming the title of first place and the Rues Crew taking second place.

The tournament, and the foundation that hosts it, were created in memory of 15-year old Cynclaire Ruby Rogers, who lost her life to suicide in May of 2019—their mission is to continue to raise awareness for suicide prevention and mental health in her name and memory.

More information concerning the tournament, sponsorship opportunities and resources for those in need can be found on the Cynclaire Ruby Rogers Charity Softball Inc. Facebook page.
