Reds down Cubs, Braves and Cardinals win Tuesday

The Cincinnati Reds hit four home runs-two of them by Joey Votto-in a 7-4 win over the Chicago Cubs last night. The series continues tonight at Wrigley Field, with pregame at 6:35 on News Radio 95.3 FM/1230 AM WHOP.

Austin Riley hit a grand slam as the Atlanta Braves dismantled the New York Mets 12-5. Along with his bases-clearing knock, Riley mashed a two-run homer to record a career-high six runs batted in. Charlie Morton picked up his 10th win, striking out five over five frames. The Braves and Mets continue the series tonight at Citi Field.

Interleague

Adam Wainwright was in peak form in the St. Louis Cardinals 4-2 win over the Cleveland Indians. The grizzled ace struck out eight batters and allowed just two runs in seven innings of work. The teams conclude the brief series this afternoon in Cleveland.
