The Leaf Chronicle reports Austin Peay defensive lineman Nigel Brannon has been suspended from the football team indefinitely after he was arrested by Clarksville police in an alleged assault of another player. Brannon was charged with aggravated assault and aggravated kidnapping, according to a court affidavit. Brannon is accused of holding a teammate against his will at an apartment complex on University Avenue around 7 pm last Thursday. The affidavit said Brannon pulled a knife on the teammate and threatened him while standing in front of the door to the apartment. He has a court hearing on Friday.
