New York Mets pitching held the Cincinnati Reds to one hit in a 7-0 thrashing at Great American Ball Park Wednesday. Aristides Aquino had the only hit for the Reds, who begin a weekend series hosting the St. Louis Cardinals tomorrow night.

Yadier Molina drove in the game-winning run in the tenth as the St. Louis Cardinals beat the Chicago Cubs 3-2 at Busch Stadium. The Redbirds have won four of their last five as the series concludes this evening.
Austin Riley knocked in a run as the Atlanta Braves fell 3-2 to the San Diego Padres in Game One of their doubleheader at home. Game Two was suspended due to inclement weather, with San Diego leading Atlanta 5-4 in the middle of the fifth. The Braves open a weekend series tonight at Philadelphia.
