Suspect arrested on burglary charge after assaulting teen over gaming headset

A young Hopkinsville man was arrested Wednesday night after he allegedly went inside a Kenwood Drive home and assaulted a juvenile over a video game accessory.

An arrest citation for 18-year old Donnie Holloway of Hopkinsville alleges he entered the home in the 2800 block of Kenwood and assaulted a juvenile who he believed had taken his gaming headset.

Holloway reportedly punched the victim at least 10 times with a closed fist, leaving knots and a bloody lip. He’s then accused of going through the victim’s possessions looking for the headset.

The juvenile was looked at by EMS, but refused a trip to the hospital.

Holloway was arrested less than an hour later on Fairview Drive and arrested for first-degree burglary.
