Arraignment was held Thursday morning in Christian District Court for the man accused of fatally shooting 28-year old Calvin Buckner at a 4th of July party on Hazel Street.
Louisville attorney Ted Shouse has been retained by 39-year old Leon Grimes of Hopkinsville and he entered a not guilty plea on his behalf.
Judge Foster Cotthoff scheduled a preliminary hearing for Friday of next week and set bond at $500,000 cash.
Grimes is charged with murder, with a warrant alleging he shot Buckner in the chest.
