Reds edge Cubs, Cardinals lose, Braves win Sunday

Tucker Barnhart had two hits as the Cincinnati Reds beat the Chicago Cubs 3-2 Sunday. Barnhart was 2-for-3 at the plate. The Reds open an Interleague series tonight at Kansas City, with the next Reds on Radio broadcast tomorrow night at 6:40 on News Radio 95.3 FM/1230 AM WHOP.

By the way, the Cubs are back home to host Philadelphia tonight.

Elsewhere in the National League

Elias Diaz singled in the winning run in the bottom of the ninth as the Colorado Rockies walked off the St. Louis Cardinals 3-2. Harrison Bader homered in the loss for the Redbirds, who open a series this evening at the San Francisco Giants.

Max Fried hit a walk-off single with the bases loaded in the bottom of the 10th as the Atlanta Braves beat the Miami Marlins 8-7. Fried became the first Atlanta pitcher ever to record a walk-off RBI as a pinch hitter. The Braves have won four of their last five and start a series with the Pittsburgh Pirates tonight.
