Several shootings are under investigation from overnight in Clarksville, including one that involved an officer shooting a suspect.
Clarksville police responded to a loud disturbance about 1:30 this morning in the area of Liberty Bell Lane and officers heard gunshots and found a victim as they approached on foot.
Sgt. Charles Gill says an individual armed with weapons approached an officer as they arrived and the officer fired their duty weapon.
The suspect and original shooting victim were both taken to a hospital for treatment and the TBI is investigating the officer-involved shooting.
Meanwhile, three people were shot during an altercation about 3 this morning in the 900 block of College Street. Clarksville police say all three individuals were transported to a hospital and their condition was unknown.
And a man was shot in the leg after he became engaged in an altercation with another man about 8:30 p.m. Saturday in the 100 block of Union Hall Road in Clarksville. Detective Michael Patterson says two men were engaged in an altercation and one of them produced a handgun and shot the other in the leg.
The victim in that incident was taken to a Nashville hospital.
