The Christian County Health Department reported nine new COVID-19 cases in the last week.
According to a news release, that number bumps the overall total locally since the pandemic began to 7,136—of that, 37 cases are considered active and 6,998 people have recovered from the virus. Christian County has had 101 COVID-19 related deaths.
To date, the health department has administered 27,152 vaccines against COVID-19.
