More details released on Tennessee pursuit

More details have been released on a pursuit in Tennessee from Sunday night that ended in Clarksville after a suspect allegedly fired gunshots at deputies.

The Stewart County Sheriff’s Office says Donald James Robinson of Clarksville is charged with multiple counts of aggravated assault against a police officer, evading arrest, kidnapping, possession of meth and other charges.

His passenger, 33-year old Amber Causey of Clarksville, was arrested and charged with tampering with evidence and possession of meth.

As previously reported, Stewart County deputies stopped Robinson on Highway 79, but he took off again and fired shots that struck the vehicles of Stewart and Montgomery County deputies before he was apprehended with the help of a K9 in a Clarksville neighborhood.
