Pennyrile Electric was established about 84 years ago in Todd County and representatives of the cooperative that services the entirety of the county were in Elkton Monday morning for a member appreciation event.
Brent Gilkey with Pennyrile says they decided to cancel the annual meeting at the fair this year when COVID restrictions were in place and instead had the appreciation events.
Vehicles were making their way around the City-County Park in Elkton and Gilkey says they all got their buckets and light bulbs they would normally get at the fair.
All of the member appreciation days are from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. and complete information is on the Pennyrile Electric Facebook page.
Members also received a ticket in their Kentucky Living magazine to get into the Western Kentucky State Fair for free on Tuesday, June 29, which will still be Pennyrile Electric Day.
